IWF AI CSAM Report 2026: AI-generated abuse videos up 26,385% in 2025

The Internet Watch Foundation’s 2026 AI CSAM report finds 8,029 AI-generated images and videos assessed as showing realistic child sexual abuse in 2025, a 26,385% increase in AI-generated video reports year on year. 65% of identified AI videos were Category A, the most extreme classification. Single applications now generate abusive imagery with minimal effort, removing the need for technical expertise. IWF analysts report that current AI represents the worst quality the technology will ever be.
