The 2025 Digital Forensics Summit held in London on 12 November examined the vision for digital forensics within police reform and implementation challenges. Key discussions focused on ensuring consistent delivery models across forces with differing digital maturity levels and the sustainability of digital forensic capabilities given licensing costs and reliance on commercial solutions. The summit addressed how policing can tackle increasing complexity of digital investigations the regulator’s role and concerns around legality and privacy. The National Centre of Policing Excellence integration with other organisations working on digital capability was explored.
