ANPR@GPI in Belgium

On July 18, 2025, the Belgian Council of Ministers gave the green light for the ANPR@GPI protocol. This gave the Federal Police permission to install the national ANPR platform of the future together with the Antwerp police zone. End of October the first cameras in Brussels have also been added.

ANPR@GPI is the new centralized platform to which as many ANPR cameras as possible will eventually be connected. This network will eventually provide full coverage and optimal centralization of the ANPR data, allowing police officers to consult ANPR data more efficiently and faster to combat crime. One central platform where all ANPR data is brought together: that ensures more efficient police work and increases the safety of citizens.
