Biometrics in Action Event Showcases EU Security Research Projects

The European Commission’s DG Migration and Home Affairs hosted the Biometrics in Action event during Darmstadt Biometrics Week in Germany. The event brought together EU-funded researchers and security practitioners including representatives from Europol Frontex and eu-LISA. Projects showcased included CarMen for automated biometric identification of travellers POLIIICE for lawful interception in encrypted communications and LICORICE focusing on privacy-preserving identity management solutions.
