Texas Department of Public Safety tests first aircraft-mounted counter-drone system for law enforcement

The Texas Department of Public Safety has become the first public service agency in the US to deploy Davenport Aviation’s Airborne Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems technology on its aircraft. The ACUS system is the first aircraft-mounted counter-drone system designed specifically for public safety and law enforcement aviation units. The system can help spot and track UAVs operating in close proximity to manned aircraft and locate drone pilots on the ground using slew-to-cue functionality.
