Teledyne FLIR Defense has received an order from U.S. Customs and Border Protection for 15 Griffin G510x portable chemical detectors specifically designed to analyse and identify explosives and narcotics such as fentanyl and nitazenes within five minutes. The instruments will be fielded across the United States to help CBP identify challenging drug samples containing fentanyl in extremely low concentrations mixed with other compounds. The Griffin G510x features an on-board SWGDrug database comparing field samples with more than 3,500 illicit drugs and compounds.
