Europol IOCTA 2026 announced: encryption, proxies and AI expanding cybercrime; Q2 publication planned

Europol published the landing page for the Internet Organised Crime Threat Assessment 2026, titled ‘The evolving threat landscape: how encryption, proxies and AI are expanding cybercrime’, with planned publication in Q2 2026. The report will cover criminal trends in cybercrime enablers, online fraud schemes, cyber-attacks and online child sexual exploitation, signalling a broader thematic scope than previous editions to address AI-enabled offending in greater depth.
